THE FEVER CASES.
[TO THE BdiIOB OF THE HeBAIiD.] Sir, — I wish to contradict a statement which appeared m your paper twice last week re fever cases. I beg to inform you the fever you wrote of was m Peel-street, not Bright-street, m a house known as the Cottage of Content. There are only two boarding houses m Bright-street, one kept by Mrs Harris, and the other by myself, and as far as I know there has never been a case of fever m my house, which has been a boarding house for the last 19 years. — I am, &c, Eliza West. [Our correspondent will find on reference to the paragraph that appeared m Thursday's issue, that the committee of the Borough Council are responsible for the reference to Bright-street. We are pleased that the sanitary conditions and reputation of our correspondent's premises stand so high. — Ed. Herald.]
