CRICKET.

London, July 18. The attendance at the cricket match afc Lords to-day was estimated at 16,000. The weather was splendid, and the •wicket in better order. The following are the scores in the Australians first innings : Lyons, b Lockwood, 7 ; Giffen, b Lockwood, 0 ; Bannerrnan, c Shrewsbury, b Lockwood, 17 ; Trotb, c McGregor, b Lockwood, 33 ; McLeod, b Lockwood, 5 ; Gregory, c McGregor, b Lockwood, 57 ; Graham, c McGregor, b Mold, 107 ; Bruce, c Peel, b Mold, 23 ; Turner, b Flowers, 0 ; Trutnble (not out) 2 ; Blackham, Ibw, b Mold 2 ; sundries, 16. Total, 269. Mold took three wickets for 44, Flowers one for 21, Locktrood six for 101. Graham was afc the wickets for two hours and twenty minutes His score included One five, twelve fours, two threes, and nine twos. Ha received a great ovation on returning to the The last three wickets only added four to the soore. The fielding of the Englishmen was very lax after lunch. All England second innings : Stoddarb, b Turner, 13 ; Shrewsbury (not out) 45 ; Gunn (not out) 43 ; Bundries, 12. Total, one wicket for 113 runs. July 19. — All England had lost eight wickets in their second innings for 234 runs when rain put a stop to the play, and the match waa abandoned. Shrewsbury increased his score to 81, and Gunn'to 77. Gregory was severely bruised by Mold when batting, and was unable to field. Walter Giffen took his place. Gunn played a stylish innings, but gave several chances, and was eventually disposed of by a splendid catch. Shrewsbury was at the wickets three and a half hours for his runs.
