Brisbane, July 19. The New Zealanders played 18 seniors to-day. It was a flue game. In the first spell Harper potted a goal from a free kick, and in the second spell Wilson placed a goal from a free kick. These T»ere the only scores, New Zealand ■winning by four points to nil. Towards the end of the game, Harper, of Nelson, had his shoulder dislocated through being thrown, and retired. The Queenslanders generously allowed Bayley to take his place. July 20. — In the match yesterday Lambie, Darcy, Hiroa and Ellison played tho best game in the forward division. The game was strong on the defensive, but was very lame in the second spell. Harper and Wynyard were servicable three-quarters and were seldom idle. Wellington, to-day. McKenzle (Auckland), Gray and Wstson (Wnirarapa), and Oliphant (Wellington) left in the Wakatipu yesterday to strengthen the team in their final matches in New South Wales. The Wellington Rugby Union has decided to apply to the New Zealand Union for permission to play Otago.
