The Drainage of Wellington.
Wellington to-day. Tho committee of the City Council appointed to consider the question of drainage, recommend that a commission be appointed of such skilled engineers as the Council can procure, to examine the several modes of disposal of sewage proposed, and to take such evidence as they think lit. The population is to be treated as likely to increase to 75,000. If a scheme is adopted the work is to be done by the Council's staff under the control of a consulting engineer. The committee consider a loan will have to be raised.
