Wellington Supreme Court.
Wellington, to-day. Tn tho Supreme Court yesterday afternoon John riant was acquitted on a charge of larceny, also It. W. Hugh for wife desertion, and Edward Clarkson, alias Tyson, for assault and robbery. Sentence was deferred in the case of Henry Atkinson, (dins Watts, for horse-stealing. The Grand Jury threw out the bill against Jacob Josephs and others for permitting a nuisance to exist on the premises on Lambton Quay. Later. At the Supreme Court George Summerfell was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for breaking and stealing, and Henry Atkinson for larceny of a horse, 15 months.
