A Shocking Accident.
Masterton, to-day.
The three-year-old daughter of Mr Cameron, contractor, lost her life last night through a tire, winch broke out during the absence of her mother, who left her in bed asleep at 7.30, whilst visiting a relative close by. She was only absent for a few minutes, and on returning found the bed in flames. The child was nearly roasted, but still alive and lingered for two hours. Dr Milne attended, but coul do nothing. A baby in a cot in the same room escaped uninjured. The house had four rooms and was insured in the National for LIOO. The furniture and contents were all destroyed and uninsured. Mr Cameron had sixty pounds in money in the house, which means his loss equals L2OO.
