London, Nov. 29. Arrangements are being made for holding meetings throughout Ireland to de- ! nounce the Government in consequence of the determination to enforce order with the strong arm. The Corporation of Dublin and other cities are taking a prominent part in the movement. The Argus states that Louis Brennan's torpedo ha 9 withstood all the tests successfully, and passed through a severe ordeal of scientific investigation. Brennan himself will receive a commission as Captain of Engineers, so that the War Office may permanently retain his services. Dec. 4. The Chandernagor, which was reported to have foundered in a cyclone, has safely arrived at Singapore.
