It is announced that the British Government have agreed to cede Port Hamilton to China on tho Chinese Government engaging not to allow any other power to annex that place. MELBOUIINE, To-day. A compromise has been effected between the Government and Opposition, which is regarded as tantamount to a victory for the latter. AUCKLAND, Today.
