LATE ENGLISH NEWS.
« London, Oct. 22. Doctor Nulty, Bishop of Meath, has delivered a sermon against Moonlighters, or other perpetrators cf murders and outrages and their abettors. He denounced their crimes in the strongest terms. England, he said, was naturally just, but hated outrages, and only looked for an opportunity to convince themselves that the Irish wore not murderers, incendiaries, and a proof of the capability of the Irish to govern themselves. When this was afforded the whole democracy of England would support Home Rule for Ireland. The Irish must set their faces against crime, thereby advancing the happiness and prosperity of the country. A violent gale raged over the United Kingdom on the 15th and lGth inst., doing enormous damage. The Brighton foreshore was partly washed away, endangering the promenade. The storm raged with tremendous force off the coast of Wales, and numerous wrocks with great loss of lifo are reported from all quarters. i The business of Messrs Guinness and Sons, brewers, of Dublin, is now offeied i to the public, with a capital of six million pound. Sir Edward Guinness accepts the i chairmanship of the company, Mr Claude - Guinness acting as manager.
