RESIGNATION ACCEPTED. THE IRISH QUESTION. London, Jan. 29. Her Majesty the Queen haa been pleased to accept the resignation of Lord Salisbury and his colleagues. Lord Carlingford and the Earl of Roseberry are each mentioned as possible successors to Colonel Stanley at the Colonial Office. The defeat of Lord Salisbury's government is said to be generally regretted in the Cabinets of the Continental Powers. The Irish National Leaguo will, it is stated, undertake to suppress boycotting if the league ia allowed to continue in existence.
