Mr Our tin announced tonight that the Federal Government- had deciueu to impost* heavy new taxes. It believed they will levy about an additional £50.000,000 on the community . Legislation will be brought down in the coming session of the Federal Parliament on January 27. and at least a portion of the additional levy will lie placed upon the public almost immediately. The new imposts will be primarily upon the income tax and will affect a wide range of incomes
