WOODVILLE WOMAN’S DEATH
FELL UNDER TRAIN. W bile a train was travelling between Marton and Gieatford on Saturday evening, a woman was observed to fall from the engine cowcatcher .The train was stopped, but she was dead. She has been identified as Mrs Ellis, married, of Franklin Road, Woodville. Her husband was waiting for her on th© Paimerston North railway when informed oi the tragic occurrence. Mystery surrounds Mrs Ellis movements prior to the happening. An inquest was opened before Mr J. S. Tingey, of Faddling. Coroner, and adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken. Mis Ellis was formerly Mrs Christiansen.
