A WANDERER CHARGED

BEFORE PAHIATUA JUSTICES. At the Justices’ Court at 2.30 p.n*. yesterday, Thomas Percy Timmins, of no fixed abode, appear<*d before Messrs L. Hartley and E. P. Badger, J. sP., charged with being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient lawful means of support. Accused pleaded guilty. Sergeant Whiting who represented the* Police, stated that Timmins had bee n drinking about the town and had been borrowing money during tho past week. When accused was asked if he had anything to say he stated that he was a returned solder from the last war and was suffering from gas poisoning. He stated lie would like to go to the island, but was informed the Court had no jurisdiction to send him there. Timmins was sentenced to three months imprisonment.
