SHARK KILLS GIRT, United Press Assn —By Electric Telegraph—Couyright SYDNEY, Dec. A shark attacked and killed a. 16-year-old girl, Denise Burch, in wnfler only kne© deep at Bantrv Bay, Middle Harbour, which is a branch of Sydney Harbour, yesterday. The girl, who was a refugee from Hongkong, and whose father and brother are prisoners of war there, was waving with other members of a pcnic when a shark seized her by the log and dragged her under water. Two you.tli.s jumped into a boat and followed the shark. They beat tlie water with sticks and the commotion apparently frightened the shark which left its victim and swam away. The girl, however, was shockingly mauled and was dead when dragged ii to th© boat.
