FOR FIELD-MARSHAL ROMMEL SYDNEY, Dec. 19. A Londoner, Mr Charles E. Lee, 74-year-old grandfather of Captain Edgar Gibbons. serving with the Rifle Brigade in Libya, has cabled bis grandson offering £IO,OOO for the capture of Field-Marshal Rommel. dead or alive, reports a “Sydney Morning Herald” London cor-' respondent. Mr Lee said that this was his way of showing appreciation of what the Rifle Brigade was doing. “My grandson has been in the desert for many months,” he added, “and was directly responsible for the capture of two Italian generals. When Rommel captured Tobruk, Captain Gibbons refused to surrender and escaped to the British lines.”
