AERODROME HEAVILY BOMBED

R A.F. IN BURMA. (Received 9.45 a.m.) (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Dec. 27. Ail Indian communique states that last night, R.A.F. long-range bombers attacked an important Japanese aerodrome at Heho in central Burma for about three hours and several tons of high explosives were dropped ou the target and it is believed that considerable damage was caused. None of our aircraft are missing. Wreckage of a Japanese bomber shot down by our night fighters during the raid on Calcutta on Christmas Eve has been found some miles east of the city.
