WELL WEST OF SIRTE
ADVANCE IN LIBYA (Received 9.45 a.m.) (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. Dec. 27 A Middle East joint aemmuniquo states that our troops continue their advance and yesterday were well westward of Sirte and Tamet. Tunis, Lagouletta and Susa were bombed on Christmas night and aerodromes in Sicily ground-strafed. considerable damage being done to grounded aircraft a,t one of these aerodromes. From these operations one of our aircraft is missing but the crew are safe.
