The lull in Northern Tunisia ended on Christmas Eve wlieui guards at sundown attacked' a ridg© held by tlie enemy, six miles north-north-east of Medjez El Bah on the west side of the Terburba road. A series of attacks lasting 14 hours, says a co-respondent at headquarters, were made on. a front of 1260 yards The guards finally took .the high points but. not the highest on tins ridge which holds a position overlooking Medjez and the country to th<> east.
