"Dad and Dave Come to Town Cmesouud’s record-breaking comedy triumph will be screened again tonight and also on Tuesday add Wednesday a t 8 p.m. Bert Bailey and bred AlacDonald, tie original “Dad” and “Dave oi “On Our Selection,” have the principal roles and the supporting cast includes such sterling players as Shirley Ann RichKellaway ~ and Sidney \V heeler. “Dad,*’ straight from the bush, inherits a city dress salon. With ‘ Dave” (Fred MacDonald) and “Jiil (Shirley Ann Richards), his eldest daughter, the old man sets out to show the citv folks how' a modern frock shop should be mn. As the “farmer dressmaker, lie remodels the salon, and verv soon is drawn into a skirmish with his opposition, “Pierre,” played by Sidliey \\ heeler. The action is fast and furious, aud the laughs are literally laid on, as “Dad” applies his farm methods to liis city business, and “Dave ’ makes love to the mannequins, as only Dave can make love. To celebrate the opening of his new store, “Dad,” assisted by his publicity manager, played by Billy Raves, and his floor walker “Entwistle” (Alec Kellaway), launches a spectacular fashion parade that will gladden every feminine heart. It is then that “Pierre,” who holds a promissory note for £IOO, brings in the bailiffs. But all's well that ends well. and the manner in which “Dad” and “Dave*’ save the situation provides a fitting climax to this €xcellent entertainment. For the convenience of country patrons, there will be a, matinee tomorrow at 2 p.m.
