At about 11.30 1> ui »n Saturday evening au Austin 7. owned anil driven by Mr H. A. RiU-hie, laetory assistant, of Oioiia Downs, ran over tlie edge of the road on the \\ oodville side ot the .Xguwapurua Jiridge. The ear, wliieli was proceeding in thy direction ot Woodville. skidded in some loose metal, and ran over the bank, sustaining damage to the left front wing, knocking the steering out of alignment, breaking t 111* steering wlieel and shattering the w indshield, which was fortunately ot spliuterproof glass. The driver was linlitiured, and was able on Sunday lit ruing to drive the *ar down to tho W.F.C.A. gaiage at Pahiatua.
