SWARM OF BEES
VISITATION AT COMMERCIAL
HOTEL.
Among week-end visitors to the Commercial Hotel was a swarm of bees, which, arriving at about o'clock on Saturday morning. *et €ud around a bathroom pipe at the back of the building- They remained there undisturbed until the evening, when someone of an experimental turn of mind threw a. piece of wood at the swarm and dislodged apportion of it. The bees, which seemed to be torpid, fell into the yard, where they remained on the asphalt. A few seemed to revive a little and began to seep under tin* back door into the ping-pong room : owinging to increasing nervousness an ongst the players, the game had to be abandoned shortly afterwards. On Sunday morning the swarm, although sadly depleted, was still in its original position, and it was not. until late on Sunday evening that, with the aid of smoke and hose, the last of these unwelcome guests % was finally removed.
