ADJOURNMENT OF INQUEST. Electrio Telegrajffi—Press Association WHANG A R El. August 27. An inquest into the death of Angus Colin McLean, Waipu, who died after a football accident at Mareretu on July 31, was further adjourned on fhe application of the police. John Donald McLean, deceased’s father, giving evidence yesterday, said he asked his son how the accident had happened. His son replied that he had caught the jersey of a player, who had swung round and hit him.
The evidence of the reteree, spectators and players was that the game was clean and friendly anti there was no element of feeling between the teams. The referee said that McLean told him that someone had struck him with his elbow, but the witness said he saw no blow* struck.
