MINERS TERRIBLE DEATH. Electric Telegraph—Tress Association HOKITIKA,, Last Night. Particulars of the tragedy at the Tucker Fiat tunnel works this morning show that deceased, Robert Thompson Gallon, aged 39, a married man with two children, who was engaged on the tunnel, started on the shift at midnight with a. mate. Alter crib at 6 a.ill. the latter entered the tunnel, expecting Gallon to follow in a quarter of an hour. Instead, he heard an, explosion that shook the tunnel and found the crib tent, which contained 121 b of dynamite and a dozen detonators, molished.
