CLOTHES TAKE FIRE.
PAINT WORKS EMPLOYEE BURNED.

E. Lowans, a married man with two children, was mixing terebine at the Nelson Paint Company’s works this afternoon when, turpentine exploded .setting fire to Ins clothes, which workmen, extinguished with a chemical extinguisher. Barrels of turpentine burst but the brigade confined the fire to a small corner in the works.
Lowans was admitted to hospital suffering severe burns on the arms and body.
