The Earl of Athione, accompanied by Princess Alice, Countess of Athione opened the third Antique Dealers’ Fair and Exhibition in London. All the leading antique •dealers of the country are taking part and the exhibits are estimated to be of a total value of £lO,000,000. All periods from the Elizabethan are represented in the furniture section and a large number of clocks are on view. One of the principal curiosities is a mace oi the Irish Parliament made in London in 1765, which was in use up to 1801. There is a specially fine display of old silver, glass and ceramics.
