NATIONAL RESULTS OF CAMPAIGN. £8,500 FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS. The Anzac commerative stamp is- 1 sue made by the Post Office at the request of the Now Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association between April 27th and June 20th has been highly satisfactory, the gross sales for the eight weeks totalling just over £17,000. This total is subject to adj’ustment, but it can be said definitely that the amount to be paid to the Returned Soldiers’ Association will approach £8,500. The Anzac stamps were of f>enny and two-penny denominations, half of the amount in each case being for postage and the remainder a contribution by the public for the relief of necessitous cases among returned soldiers and their dependants. The campaign for the sale of the stamps was conducted by 85 branches of the R.S.A., and in addition through the instrumentality of the Post Office a considerable overseas demand was deal twith, great interest being taken in this issue commemorating the twenty-first anniversary of the historic landing on Gallipoli.
