Electric Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN La t Night. • Otago defeated the visiting Fijian women’s hockey team on Saturday by six goals to nil. Neither side played the best of hockey. Otago lx?ing jx?nalised too frequently for off-side play and the visitors conceding too many penalty corners. There was an attendance of about 41*00. In the first half Otago had the lietter of the play and L. McNeur and H. Johnson scored. The Fiji forwards were slow and unused to the type of ground on which they were playing, never being dangerous, and Otago held a territorial advantage all the time In the second half Johnson scored again and A. Harley added three goaJs. For a period the visitors attacked strongly and the Otago detcnce Had a difficult task. Poor shooting and lack of combination however, caused ail efforts to go a-stray. The game ended Otago six, Fiji nil.
