102 YEARS OLD.
DUNEDIN LADY’S BIRTHDAY TO-DAY. STILL IN GOOD HEALTH. Electric Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, East Night. To-morrow Mrs Emma .Harries, of Cargill road, Dunedin, will celebrate her 102nd birthday when relatives from all over the South Island will be present at the birthday celebrations. Airs Harries, who is in possession of all her faculties and is looking forward to to-morrow’s party, was born in London in 1834, coming out to Australia at the age of 22. She was married in Australia and with her husband sailed to New Zealand in 1888, arriving at Dunedin where she has resided ever since. Mrs Harries, who has a lively sense of humour and enjoys narrating incidents in her early life, is in good health and up to a year ago enjoyed motor drives around Dunedin.
