PAHIATUA SHOW.
rNUS UA L AHR ACTION. From time to time many strange stories have reached the outside world from the depths c l the Amazonian forests and South American jungles, of gaily plumagcd birds rarely seen by the eyes of mankind, glitter)! ugly brilliant- reptiles, apid of stunted races of people who speak no language, only a succession, of grunts and whose solo weapons of war arc tlio primitive bow and arrow. But there arrived in New Zealand a ew weeks ago a collection of live deathdealing reptiles which include a huge alligator. Tn capturing the alligator alive* several natives m ere injured and one lost his life before the monst<>r was subdued, and it» is only under a. special permit and a heavy bond that these monsters were allowed to land in New Zealand for a limited period. They will be showing at the Pahiatua Show in a strong wood and iron structure to insure the safety of patrons. Look for the big alligator banner in the side-show section.
