Miraculously escaping serious injury when <i> milk van he was driving crashed into a, train at a level crossing in Fendalton this morning, A. Thain now lies in hospital with nothink worse than facial abrasions and shock. The signals were set and the 'cross-ing-keeper was in the centre of the road with a stop-signal when the van approached. The keeper frantically signalled but the driver went on and hit the centre of the train, the van being completely wrecked.
