TRUSTEES FALL OUT.
ONE DRAGGED BY THROAT. Electric Telegraph—Press Association ASHBURTON. Last Night. Before J ustiees of the Peace. George Apiti Read, farmer , of Eiffelton . pleaded guilty to assaulting Walter Robert Keen, thereby causing bodily harm. The parties were trustees ’of a farm in a deceased estate, and a difference arose a s to whether a motortruck sent away had been paid for. In a souffle in a paddock Keen's ankle was fractured after which the accused dragged him by the throat three or four chains. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
