WTien the Hamburg-bound United States liner President Roosevelt called at Plymouth from New York, a passenge * handed the Press a statement from u fellow-passenger, Dr. George Bresin, to the effect that he was being deported to Germany from Ellis Island, locked in a cabin. Dr. Bresin, who had been an antiNazi worker, fears death by torture from + he Nazis.
