EXCITEMENT IN BATHS.
LITTLE GIRL S MISTAKE. Some momentary excitement was caused in the Pahiatua. baths yesterday afternoon when t 1 .ttle girl a visitor to the town, mistook the deep end of the baths for the children’s section. The youngster went off the steps before anyone had realised her intention. and was soon lost to sight Quick as a flash, a. young Pahiatua school girl. Joan CosJord. who was near ;:t hand, sprang into the water and rescued the kiddie, who was hauled out of the water almost before she had realised her danger. Mr John Adams, 'custodian of the baths, who was Qn duty at the time told a Herald man that the whole incident. was over in a minute and when his attention was directed to the happening the child was safe and sound, but be siaid the incident should as a. warning for all children to be thoroughly acquainted v, ith • the baths.
