According to returns furnished by Dr. Kiclscm Oi rector of the Meteorological Branch of the Department of Scientific Research, Nelson again heads New Zealand for hours of bright sunshine recorded. When the returns for the past year were presented on Jni may 2, it was found that Nelson had bad nearly 50 hours less sunshine than the previous year, and the official returns of other districts have been awaited with considerable interest. These, however, show that Nelson, with 2510.5 hours, headed the list, with Blenheim 2438.7 second. Lake Tekapo, 2431 hours third. Tauranga, 2375.7 hours, fourth and Wavipiata, 2260.7 hours filth.
