YOUNG MAORI GIRL'S FEAT. Eleetrio Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON. Last Night
Two Dominion records were established at the first evening session of the New Zealand junior ayd intermediate swimming championships, which opened at Hamilton last evening. Miss I. Purdie (Otago) reduced Miss Champion’s 220 yards intercnediate girls’ freestyle record from 2.52 2-s~to 2.505, while Miss Nawi Kera, a 13-year-old Rotorua Maori girl, lowered Miss Dorothy Symon’s junior girls' 100 yards record from 68J sec. to 67 l-ssec. In the heats in the morning she had previously lowered the record to 68 l-ssec.
