HOLIDAY TAN.
One of the simplest bleaching methods is the application of lemon juice and water. If this treatment is used consistently over a period of several weeks, it usually gives satisfactory results. On some skins just pure lemon juice may be used, but if your skin is at all tender it is best to dilute with a little water, using the proportions of one teaspoonful of water to three teaspoonfuls of lemon juice. If the lotion causes a burning or itching sensation add a little more water. If you wash, a little rosewater may be added. Before using the bleach, cleanse the skin thoroughly with cold cream. Then apply a towel which has been wrung out in hot water. When it has cooled repeat the process again. Then apply the bleach at once, using a piece of cotton wool.
