THE WOODVILLE SHOW.
TO-MOR ROW’S FESTIVAL. Preparations for the Woodville A. and P. Show, to be held tomorrow (Saturday), are now complete. The entries received in all sections are in excess of those for the last three years. The quality of the stock to be exhibited will be of high standard, particularly the dairy cattle section. A very attractive programme of ring events has been arranged. Horse leaping competitions and the dog trial have large entries. Ihe outstanding attraction will be the wood chopping and sawing events, where over 40 competitors are taking part and among them .some of the best axemen m New Zealand. The tug-of-war competitions will also see keen competition. Visitors will find nothing left undone for their comfort. All events can be viewed from the spacious grandstands provided and picnic parties will find pleasant surroundings on "the popular Woodville racecourse where the gathering is held. Hot water will be provided free of charge Given a fine day, this year’s show promises to be a record one.
