MR. GOULD RESIGNS.
CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB CHAIRMANSHIP Electric Telegraph— "Bross Association CHRISTCHURCH. Sept. 5. At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury' Jockey Club' the resignation was received of Air George Gould from the chairmanship. The committee, in accepting tlie resignation. carried a resolution recording appreciation of his long and able service through a difficult period of the club’s history. Air H. El worthy. South Canterbury. was appointed chairman for the remainder of the year.
