PRAISE FOR COLTS’ TEAM. The Wellington Colts’ team now on tour is apparently making a good impression. ••Congratulations on Colts’ win. Best boost for the old game we have had for years,” so ran a telegram from an official of the Poverty Buy Union, which was read at a meeting of the management committee* of the Wellington Rugby Football Union last evening. The following letter was received from the Central Hawke’s Bay SubUnion: “Afy sub-union wishes to tender to your union its- appreciation of the exhibition provided bv your touring Colts’ team on Wednesday last. The game they provided was alt that could be desired and afforded our players valuable experience, besides giving patrons the best display of the code seen in this district for many seasons past and the cleanest. 1 am desired also to remark upon the demeanour of the team off the field, which was all that could be desired, and has occasioned much favourable comment. 1 trust that the team enjoyed its brief stay in Waipukurau to the same extent that wo did the privilege of having them with us.” The Colts play Bush on Saturday next at the Showgrounds at 2 p.m slqjrp and all lovers of football should make a special effort to see this crack combination in action. Only by displaying a lively interest and patronising such games liberally can the district expect outside Unions to send their representative sides to play the Bush.
