STORY OF ONEHUNGA STABBING CASE. Electric Telegraph —l-tcsb Association AUCkLANO, September 4. A bedside Court was held in the Auckland Hospital when Mrs Louisa Annie Thompson, who was stabbed at Onehunga on Saturday night, gave evidence before the Magistrate. Mr F. K. Hunt. She said her husband was a relief worker and they had eight children. There was a Leg of beer at the party and two men, including accused,’ who were strangers attended. There was some argument betyveen the men during the party, which broke up at about 11 o’clock. At the front gate there was a scuffle between accused and Johnson and she saw Johnson on the ground. bleeding profusely from the back. Other members of tlie party ran to him. Accused started to run and then stood a little distance down the street and began calling out- She went to him saying “for goodness sake go away. Don't make a noise on account of the neighbours.' The next thing she knew he hauled off and she telt a sharp pain in the left side. She screamed and the accused ran for liis life. She walked indoors and collapsed. Alter same questions witnes- sat up in bed and signed the. depositions, after which the court adjourned. DANISH SEAMAN ARRESTED. AUCKLAND, September 4. Following the stabbing of two people after a party at Ouehuuga on Saturday night, the police last night arrested Helge Vigo Sorensen, aged 46, a Danish seaman, who, lri the Police Court to-day, was remanded on charges ot attempting to murder Louisa Annie Thompson and. of assaulting Rov Jqhnson so as to cause actual botlily harm.
