The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. report ’on tlie Eketahuna sale as follows : A good entry of dairy cattle anil a small yaraniy; of sheep were submitted to a Targe attendance. There was a keen demand for sheep and a slightly better demand tor tht- better class of dairy heifers, but for ordinary and backward sorts, the market was on a par with recent sales. Following is the range of prices: 52 five-year ewes, with b.f. lambs, 2t>s 6d; store ewes, 8s: good woolly wetlier hoggets, 15s; best springing dairy heifers, £5 to £6 10s; medium sorts, £3 lOs to £4 15s; interior and backward, £2 10s to £3; dairy cows close* to profit, £3 10s to £4 15s; later aud poor sorts, £2 lOs to £3.
