CREDIT BY FRAUD.

A young Chinaman named Arthur Wong Chang was sentenced to four niontiis’ imprisonment by Air Page, S.M., to-day for obtaining credit to the extent of £3O 18s 9d from Picot Bros, by fraud. It was stated that l;e represented that he was a business man with, two shops in the city and'wanted to open an account. He was given supplies of eggs -valued at over £3O. He sold the eggs round the c-itv at prices less than cost. The police added that he was discharged from prison only last month and was getting quite a list for false pretences and theft.
