MUNICIPAL FIRE BRIGADE

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Fire Brigade was held on Alonday at the Brigade Station, Deputy-Super-intendent Stokes presiding. The election of offiicers for the ensuing year, resulted as follows: Foreman, T. Alrirgan ; secretary and Treasurer. H. Burt; auditor. Air D. AV. Wilton ; drivers, Firemen T. Alo'.'gan, T. Alunns, and J. Taylor. Ballots resulted in Air S. K.Siclelells being elected an honoary member. Alessenger C. Bradley l>eing promoted to fireman, and Air F. Ware an active member. Alessenger C. Bradley and secretary 11. Burt tied for the attendance medal, so it was decided to present each with a medal. Fireman T. Atorgan was presented with a * ineda I. he being the winner of the best dressed fireman competition. A handsome challenge cup was presented to the local winning team at the Faster demonstration, at Alasterton. A three-man team event has been drawn up, and will he run a the end of the month, for the cup. Superintendent W. Lawry thanked the officers and members of the Brigade for their co-operation during tile last year and hoped for a continuation of the same for the present year. A vote of confidence in Superintenelant Lawry, was passed unanimously. This terminated the meeting.
