BLAZE AT WAIPUKURAU
PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE AND OTHER PREAIISES. Electric Telegraph^—Press Association Waipukurau, This Day. A fire at 6.30 o’clock last nightgutted a wooden building in Main Street, occupied by the Public Trust office, Stewart (auction mart) and Aliss Barnes (milliner). The blaze started in Aliss Barnes’ shop, which was completely gutted, and the stock, valued at over £IOOO was destroyed. Stewart’s premises were gutted, and £SOO to £6OO damage done. The Public Trust books were saved. The building was insured for £950. The other insurances are not available. The brigade extinguished the fire in fifteen minutes.
