A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced in Pahiatua at about 3.30 o’clock this morning. It was preceded by a loud rumbling. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Alasterton, This Day. A severe shock of earthquake was felt in Alasterton at about 3.28 o’clock this morning. Eltham, This Day. A severe earthquake was felt here at 3.30 this morning, hut no damage was done. AVaipawa, This Day. A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced at 3.25 o’clock this morning. AVaipukurau, Hi is Day. A severe shock of earthquake lasting some seconds, was felt here about 3.30 o’clock this morning. Wanganui, This Day.
A prolonged and severe earthquake was felt at 3.30 o’clock this morning. No da.mage*is reported.
