UNFORTUNATE YOUNG WOMAN.
“It is absolutely necessary that something should bo 'done for this woman,’’ stated Inspector Hendrey, at Wellingtn, when referring to a young woman who was charged with being idle and disorderly in that she had not visible lawful means of support. “She has a kind little heart in her body,” stated the Inspector, ‘ she has some good in her. but, unfortunately, some evil also.” She was in such a state that she would shortly require attention. The defendant was only nine-' teen years of age. and the Inspector did not take, proceedings against her (.ii this charge. He had advised the young woman to remain in the Salvation Army Home for a period, but she had foolishly ignored his advice-.
