Correspondence on the municipal electrical light and power scheme was before the Borough Council last night. The Under-Secretary of the Public Works Dej/artment had requested certain particulars to be forwarded so that the necessary license might be issued. The Consulting Engineer (Mr E. J. Fenn) notified rhat he had already given the full particulars required by the Department to the Chief Electrical Engineer. However, it would be as well for the Council to officially repeat the particulars. A complete plan of the area of supply had been forwarded to the Chief Electrical Engineer, showing the position of the power house, the route of all the proposed electric lines, and all the telegraph lines.
