ELM IN ENTLY SATISFACTORY
The F'inance Minister (the Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward; informed a Post” representative yesterday that the increase in the consolidated revenue for the ten months ending 31st January, 191(1, over the corresponding period of tint previous year, was just on on*- million sterling (£924,200). EWr the twelve months ending 31st January, 1916, the increase in revenue, hv comparison with the previous year, was £906,493. E'or the month of January last, the increase in revenue over January, 1916, was £12H.740. Sir .Joseph Waul said that he was not able to say anything about the expenditure, as he had not the returns yet; hut as soon as they were available he would supply the figures.
