SPLENDID FILM PRODUCTION

A very large number of town and country residents witnessed the screening by the Frederic Shipman Enterprises, Ltd., at the King’s theatre last evening of the seven-aot spectacular photo play ‘ ‘Neptune’s Daughter. Many persons were unable to gain admission to the building, lhe film m undoubtedly a very fine one, being clear and distinct through, out, and the whole production was successfully carried out. The picture is a triumph of the kinematograph art and the play shows some really splendid acting. The scenes are laid amidst very picturesque surroundings, and this gave the film an added interest and charm,. “Neptune’s Daughter” features .A urette Kellerruan, the la incus Amtialian swimmer and diver, and the story is a fantasy of the sea, centring principally round King Nep rime and King William, and the ” r oier s two daughters, Annette and - ngelia, who. with other mermaids are caught in a net. Manv interesting and thrilling scenes follow, and tlm wonderl ul swimming and diving feats of Annette are very realistic. There is. of course, a strong love romance running through the play, and many of the incidents are exciting. The fight on the top of a cliff, under water, attempted assassination of the King. Annette liemg put in a prison, and thrown bound hand and foot from a sixty-foot cliff into the sea. fneing herself and swimming ashore, and the duel scene, were all very thrilling. “Neptune’s Daughter** was well worth witnessing.
