| Another match for the President’s J trophy was got off at the Pahiatua green yesterday afternoon, when Burrell and Bringans had rather an easy win o\er Stevenson and MeSherryHie result was somewhat of a surprise as MeSherry had three wins to his credit and no losses when he met his opponents yesterday, but the glorious uncertainty of the game was again demonstrated. Both teams plaved , VVt 'H, but the advantage fell to Bringun," most of the game. McSherrv scoring on only 8 heads. Burrell, leading . f° r Bringans, was on his game and j “? v « r . lar the jack, and the comj bination proved much too good for their opponents. It was a runaway I ~ a, ue almost from the start, and at the tenth head the score was 18—3 in favour of Bringans. MeSherry scored on six heads but only increased hia score to 10, while Bringans put on , another 11. bringing his total score up to 29. The final scores were: Burrell and Bringans (s) (net handicap 21 10 ' Stevenson and MeSherry (s)
